Stop....Drop....and Roll

So, even though our week has been pretty normal and not to excited, (except for the 3 days of snow) my parents week started eventful. About 8ish years ago, my parents started to purchase homes, fix them up, and rent them out. They didn't have much luck with keeping good renters so they sold most the homes.... except for one. They didn't have much luck keeping renters in and they didn't have much luck selling it. One Monday, my mom called me and told me they had sold the home.... to State Farm Insurance. Sunday night, around 10ish at night they got a call from the renters. They home had caught on fire. Thankfully, everyone was still awake and they were all able the get out of the house fast. Before they could even grab shoes, the entire house was in flames. The house is a complete loss. The renters lost everything. They are able to stay with family and the Red Cross is helping them get back on their feet. My parents are still dealing with the insurance company cuz they house is 'still under investigation'. They are pretty sure it started in the garage and the think because of wiring. It is so crazy to see the pictures, I remember when my parents first purchased the home and we spent HOURS fixing it up. Looking at the pictures you can see the home is down to the framing. I never lived there, yet it was unrealistic to see the home completely gone. My parents aren't to sad to loose the home (thankgoodness for insurance) but they are sad about how it had to happen. So soon there will be an empty lot still in Rupert.... so if anyone wants to build a home..... I know a place

That's kind of crazy because for family night we talked about what to do in case of a fire. Looking at that picture kind of freaks me out. Would the kids really remember what to do?
