2 weeks and going strong

Whitney will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. She is growing and becoming more awake everyday. Luckily she is sleeping pretty good at night. We are enjoying having her home with us. I took a picture with the bear to show her size... its just an average size stuffed animalBrayden is doing great... he doesn't really care much that Whitney is here except when she cries. He runs to her then runs to me to tell me. He is as active as ever and is keeping us on our toes. He loves his new bedroom and loves running all over the house.

This is about as close as he will come to holding Whitney. Sometimes he will kiss her forehead.

Coming Home

On Friday we were able to come home from the hospital and Whitney was able to come with us... we were a little nervous she would have to stay until she gained weight. When the doctor released her, she was at a whole 4 lbs 6 oz. We had brought newborn clothes to bring her home in (we figured they would be a little big, but manageable). Well, as the pictures show... no where close. We bundled her up in her car seat and we were so grateful that we had bought the inserts around her head.

Brayden had probably one of the funnest weeks... he has spent the week with Grandma and Grandpa Bailey in Rupert. He has been playing with his cousins on the farm... they are teaching him to be a 'farm boy'. We miss him tons and are ready for him to come home and entertain us. The house is to quite without him.

He was there while they were 'chomping' the corn so he got to watch all the trucks go up and down the road

The name game....

My grandma (mom's mom) had an extremely long name and when she was married she kept them all.... and even signed with them all. So she always said "don't give your girls middle names because when they get married, they will have 4 names." She needless to say my sisters and I don't have middle names, but we always wanted them. She all of my nieces have middle names and I was bound and determined my girls would too. We get to the hospital and I'm filling out the paper work and Patrick says he thinks girls shouldn't have middle names either, but left the choice up to me. (smart man) I had a hard time deciding on the name and if we wanted to give one to her. It is now official....

Whitney Joan Oliverson.

We will probably call her Whitney Jo, but I really wanted her to have my Grandmother's name.

Whitney Oliverson is here

Well after 38 weeks of being pregnant, and low weight gain Whitney has entered the world

Her original delivery time was supposed to be at 3:00 pm, we checked our voice mail and they moved it to 4:00 pm. We got here and checked in and went back to the operating room at 4:10 pm.

At 4:47 pm. Whitney was brough into the world. She was weighing in at a wopping 4lbs 13 oz. and 16 1/4 inches long. She is small, they took her over to the receiving area and started to clean her up. She cameout wide eyed and awake looking around. It was cool

Grandpa Bailey always says he going to 'break' the babies, but we got him to hold Whitney.

We were able to get completely moved in this weekend... THANK YOU FAMILY Today we are headed back up to Ogden. I am scheduled for a c-section at 3 pm. The baby should be here before 4. We are excited to get her here! Patrick has instructions to post pictures.

More doctors, more cars, and a wedding!

This past weekend we had the chance to go to Spencer and Hillary's wedding. It was gorgeous. They both looked great. We are excited to have a new sister in the family! Hopefully she can keep Spencer in line (that could be a big job). We are super excited for them! Congratulations Spencer and Hillary!!!!!

I went back to the doctor on Wednesday (my doctor is out of town so I saw a different doctor). He says the baby looks healthy she is only gaining a couple of oz a week. We are hoping she hits 5 lbs by birth. Right now she weighs (by an ultrasound so give or take a little) about 4 lbs 12 oz. I go back Friday for a non-stress test and back to my doctor on Monday. I have border line fluid and the resistance of the cord (not quite sure what that is) so the doctor thinks most likely Monday or Tuesday they will deliver. I am not so patiently waiting to hold our little girl.

We said good-bye to Abby (my car) a couple weeks ago. The fuel pump is going out so we have had to start the car with a hammer a few times. (it is quit the picture if only more people had seen us do it) and it doesn't have a horn... it is attached to the air bag sensor so to fix it was expensive. For some reason, Utah thinks cars need to have horns so we couldn't re-register it here. So it made it's final trip to Idaho where my parent's are taking care of her. Thanks Mom and Dad, she needs lots of love ;) Patrick loves to car shop so pretty much everyday for the last month he has been looking for a new car. I think we have found one.. more to come later.

Paint, Doctors, and cars

This weekend we closed on our home! YEAH!!! its official. Since we are super tired of white walls, we spent the weekend painting. We finished the great room, kitchen, and Brayden's room.
